Referral Thank-You Gift Terms
I genuinely appreciate referrals. A personal recommendation is one of the greatest compliments I can receive, and I am always grateful when someone introduces me to a friend, family member, neighbour, colleague or client who may be considering selling.
Where a genuine referral results in a successful property sale through me, I may offer a referral thank-you gift after settlement, subject to the terms below.
Referral Thank You
A referral thank-you gift may be offered as follows:
$500 thank-you gift
Where the referred property owner lists their property with me, I personally introduce the successful buyer, and the sale settles.
$250 thank-you gift
Where the referred property owner lists their property with me, another Barfoot & Thompson salesperson introduces the successful buyer, and the sale settles.
Conditions
To qualify for a referral thank-you gift:

The referral must be a genuine new introduction.

The referred property owner must not already be in active contact with me regarding the sale of their property.

The referred owner must list their property with me.

The property must sell and settle.

Any thank-you gift is only provided after settlement has taken place.

The referral must be introduced to me before any agency agreement is signed.

The offer cannot be exchanged for any other benefit unless agreed by me in writing.

The amount and availability of any thank-you gift may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Any referral thank-you gift is subject to Barfoot & Thompson policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The referral gift could be in the form of a prezzie, Pak'nSave or MTA gift card or voucher unless otherwise specified.
Important note
This is a thank-you gift for making an introduction only. It is not a payment for carrying out real estate agency work.
The person making the referral must not provide real estate advice, discuss appraisals, pricing, commission, marketing, buyer interest, sale method, contract terms or negotiation on my behalf.
All real estate advice and agency work will be handled directly by me as a licensed real estate salesperson.
